The most widely available scheme is:

🔋 EV Chargepoint Grant

EV charger grants are changing in 2026 — here’s what you need to know.


Increased Funding

From 1 April 2026, the maximum grant increases from £350 to £500 per socket.

This applies to:

  • Renters and flat owners
  • Residential landlords
  • Homes with on-street parking
  • Workplace charging installations


⚠️ Changes for Schools

Funding for schools will reduce from £2,500 to £2,000 per socket.

However, the higher rate is still available if:

  • Applied before 31 March 2026
  • Redeemed before 30 September 2026



⏳ Important Deadlines

  • 31 March 2026: Deadline for certain schemes closing
  • Some commercial and infrastructure grants will no longer be available


🧾 New Application System

From April 2026, many grants will move to a new application system requiring direct registration. Installers can help manage this process.
